Tornado Survival Kit

Today we had severe weather. The tornado sirens were going off & Clay got his "treasures" ready for the storm.

The items that were bathroom worthy include: Boots, extra long-sleeved shirt, medicine (in the boot), Bible, toothbrush & toothpaste (direct quote: "I'm not getting caught in a tornado without my toothbrush"), and a Nerf bullet box full of important things. In the box are 2 video cameras, a duck call, money, cell phone, i-pod w/headphones, 3 necklaces, 2 pocket knives, a silly band or two, a weather radio, & the ever important multiplication table card!

Gotta love a young boy's important treasures.....just in case! I love my family!!!

Sometimes in life we go through things that we wonder how we're going to make it. I often wonder how people make it who do not trust in God. I'm thinking they probably really aren't....making it that is. I know that sometimes life seems more than unbearable. But I know that we are never alone, never forsaken, & never without Jesus praying for us. Now I will be the first to tell you....it doesn't always "feel" like it but regardless of feelings, He is there. He is for us! And when He is for us...NO ONE can be against us. During tough times, we must just keep going, keep enduring, keep keeping on, we will get through it .....so if you're going through hell, for goodness sake, don't stop, don't give up, just.....keep going!

Snow

This snow almost passed us by. We didn't get to do all the things we usually do when it snows because of family surgeries, sicknesses etc. We always do Waffle House...build a snowman....and play & take photos....this year we didn't get to do any of those things. We did take the boys sledding at the golf course after we returned from the hospital , but it was too dark to get good photos. They had a great time though.

Drake really liked the snow. He ran, jumped, & ate big mouthfuls of it! He & Clay looked so cute in their hunter orange accents in the white snow.

Maybe we'll get another snow this winter so we can do all the things we missed doing for this one....if not....there's always next winter!

Just another pic of a tree....that really looks like the Fry Guys. Remember the old McDonald's Characters from years ago? Ok, well you'd have to add big eyes, socks & tennis shoes, but with a little imagination but that's exactly what I thought of when I saw it!
